The world is crazy and inventive as always. There were some positive things about this book too. I am not sure why I usually enjoy these books quite a bit. In general this book was a bit of a struggle for me to get through. The plot itself is also a little crazy and switches viewpoints a lot. The fight scenes can be pretty confusing. As is often the case with Kikuchi's writing it gets hard to tell who is talking sometimes and who is doing what (especially with the doppelgangers thrown in). There are a lot of extra characters thrown in here including many doppelgangers of characters already present in the story. I didn't enjoy the second part of this story as much as the first. The Baron is on a mission to kill his father and Miska needs to pick up something that her grandfather left to her.

In this book D continues to lead Miska and the Baron to the Baron's home town. Although I had some issues with the writing style and following the plot. It wraps up the story of Pale Fallen Angel nicely. But, other than that, smooth reading. This is the twelfth book in the Vampire Hunter D series and the second book in the epic story "Pale Fallen Angel".

My only complaints would be that despite how well the side characters were constructed – passing with logic is never an acceptable propeller for the story. Additionally, the plot twist was superb, unexpected, but well served. This book is absolutely packed with twisting action, where you can never know who’s foe, and who’s friend. My Opinion: A brat of a princess, and her four immortal, loyal to a fault knights against D, who just wanted to explore some ruins in peace. So, when D comes along, a question arises: is the price fair enough?… For the price of a hunt and blood, she makes them flourish, harvests always bountiful, unmatched. That’s probably for the best, no time to get annoyed at how gorgeous D is to make even straight men wonder.Ībout the Book: In a remote village the unthinkable is still happening, despite the time and age – member of Nobility, a vampire, known as Rose Princess, rules over humans. “ Vampire Hunter D: The Rose Princess” by Hideyuki Kikuchi is currently the last I have for this month, and ninth in the Vampire Hunter D series.
